No. Routine maintenance like oil changes, brake service, or fluid checks can be done at Rob’e Mans without affecting your warranty. The same goes for many repairs. Just keep your service records and receipts.
The only exception is when a repair is fully covered by your manufacturer’s warranty, such as a defective part or major component failure. In those cases, the dealership usually has to handle the repair at no cost to you, since the manufacturer pays them directly. For everything else, you can count on us to provide the expert care your car needs.
Yes. We use OEM-level or high-quality aftermarket parts that meet or exceed manufacturer standards.
Every shop is staffed with ASE-certified, factory-trained professionals who know your vehicle inside and out.
Vehicle Care & Maintenance
Fluids fail before parts do. Skipping fluid changes can lead to transmission, brake, or engine failure—repairs that cost far more than regular maintenance.
The interval that your manufacturer recommends is the best rule to follow in most cases. For conventional oil changes, 3,000 has been the accepted rule. Newer vehicles and vehicles that use synthetic oil can run up to 5,000 miles between oil changes.
The conditions you have been driving in can make a difference if they are extreme. If you have been in the heat, in a lot of stop and go traffic, driving in freezing temperatures, making lots of short trips, driving on rough roads, towing a trailer or a boat—any extra burdens and strain may warrant changing your oil sooner.
We never recommend going any longer than 5,000 miles, no matter what the dealership says. We’ve seen too many engines fail from extended intervals (7,500–10,000 miles). A 5,000-mile oil change schedule protects your engine, helps your vehicle last longer, and prevents costly repairs down the road.
Wear tends to occur more rapidly in some areas of your tires than others. Rotating your tires helps distribute that wear and tear more evenly and extends the longevity of the tires. Your tires should be rotated every 6,000 miles or according to your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.
Modern vehicles are monitored by computerized systems that can warn us if a sensor is malfunctioning or the engine is misfiring.
But first, try tightening your gas cap—sometimes that’s all it is. If the light continues to stay on (or blinks), it will need to be checked out. The vehicle’s diagnostic system can be read by a diagnostic computer or a scan tool. A check engine light should never be ignored.
Squealing, scraping, grinding, squeaking, or vibrating that occurs when you apply your brakes indicates that it’s time to have them inspected.
The causes of noisy or vibrating brakes can range from a little moisture or rust to worn-out pads. Since worn-out brakes can be a safety concern, having them inspected by your Rob’e Mans qualified automotive technician as soon as possible will keep you safe and put your mind at ease.

Our exclusive virtual advisor program takes the fear out of car care. We start with a digital vehicle inspection complete with pictures, videos, and reports sent right to your phone, tablet, or desktop. Then, we consult with you via phone or text about what’s right about your car, what needs attention now, and what can be done later. You see what we see. That’s intelligent car care.
Angelo Roberson, one of our original owners, went from a rather slim build to a more “robust” size while he was working at a Honda dealership. His coworkers put “robust” and “Roberson” together and gave him the nickname Rob’e Man. When he and Eddie Cleveland started their business, they needed a name—Angelo suggested Rob’e Mans, and the rest is history.
